Here we come! We finally racked up enough airline miles and, after planning for a year and a half, recently booked a trip for New York City! Yea!

When we first began planning and asked Colton if he’d like to go, his response was a little more excited than the normal, so we knew it was a good choice. The boy loves big buildings and he is SO excited now that we are going for sure. The trip had been moved back a couple of times due to the expense of it, but he never waivered about wanting to go. Even after offering Lego Land, Disney World, the beach and snow skiing, he still preferred to wait for the Big City.


Can you believe we could take 3 trips for the amount of miles it took to get this one trip? That’s right, and we have yet to purchase our tours and meal tickets. But those will be taken care of within a few months due to the amount of miles we get from all 5+ FedEx trucks gassed up each day.

At least we will receive some return on the hundreds of dollars spent! It’s been tough, paying for so much gas, but this is a pretty cool reward.


And a much needed break. Neal and I were just reflecting on the last time we took off work for more than 2 days. It was summer of ’08 when we went to the beach in Florida and made our decision to do Games2U.

So, it will have been over 2 years by the time we go later this year! Although, I’m not sure we’ll be resting too much. Isn’t New York the city they say never sleeps? Oh well, we’ll be having too much fun to notice any weariness!
