Bartholomew's Passage

A Family Advent Story

We have been reading this fun, exciting, sad, and surprising story filled with many twists and turns.  After having read just a few chapters, Colton began asking for me to read everyday (not your normal daily occurance).  Fortunately, we didn't start early enough to read one chapter a day, as suggested, so we were able to read 2 or more at a time.  Although, a big part of the fun IS having to wait until the next day to find out what happens next!

And, it has been so much fun to see Colton "get" what's going on, since he's been learning a lot of the same things at chapel in school.  He knows who all of the characters are, as they mimic characters in the bible.

What a fun way to prepare for the coming of the Christ's birth!  Even if you don't have young children at home, I highly recommend this book to you next year.  It has been one of the most intriguing reads I've encountered in a long time.  I can't wait to find out what happens Christmas morning with our new friend, Bartholomew.  I think there are enough clues to give me quite a good idea!
