Hiding from the camera.
Racing to the edge!
And wrestling!
Then we took our precious nephew out for a birthday lunch to The Purple Cow at Fairview. On our way there he sang his favorite songs to us, by Hanna Montana/Miley Cyrus and Taylor Swift. He is quite the entertainer!
I forgot to ask Courtney but he acted like this was his first gumball. He loved watching it roll around and around to the bottom.
Then we headed over to the life sized checker board. No, Uncle Mark, I'm afraid we didn't have time to play chess - I'm sure you see the playing pieces. Pretty cool, huh? We'll have to do that next time, though.
After taking both boys back for Seth's party Neal & I got some much needed rest before heading out on the town!
How exciting to have time to go out again. When you haven't gone out as much, or little, as we have you tend to not know what to do with yourself. Friday afternoon I'd finally decided on the next day's agenda. It was going to be Brio Italian restaurant for dinner and Cheesecake Factory for dessert, then a lovely stroll through Waters Creek.
But after viewing the online menu I couldn't find anything that sounded great, Neal could care less. We knew we wanted to spend some time walking around Waters Creek. It has plenty of shade and stores to enjoy. So, then it was decided to have dinner at P.F. Chang's, but I know Chinese is way down on Neal's favorites list. I don't care for it much either but I'd been there a few times and enjoyed the food so I hoped he might also.As we were walking from the parking lot Neal mentioned there were some small restaurants the other direction, so there we went again....ditching yet another restaurant. It wasn't what you might think, though. We were not rushed to make a decision, nor were we starving by any means but completely enjoyed just being together, hand in hand, looking for something that might temp our tastes.
Every Thursday and Saturday nights the shopping resort holds little live concerts. This night Counterfeit Radio was performing. It sure did add to the whole ambiance of the entire place. We missed the horse-drawn carriage rides which runs through October every Friday and Saturday nights from 7:00pm - 10:00pm. We may just have to make plans to visit again!
Sublime Chocolate was simply that. Sublime. A perfect amount of sweetness to compliment a beautiful meal!
I am so thankful for the time spent with my sweet husband. He is the best person to live my life with!
